About Me

Snowmobile tour 2014.
Having had a vast array of experiences, I have finally come full circle to my original instinct to teach, inspire and be inspired. My background includes so many wonderful positions that have taught me all the skills I need to succeed both professionally and personally.
I began my professional journey studying video production and multimedia which eventually lead to work as a graphic designer and interactive programmer at a small company where I wore many hats. It was a solid foundation that would enable me to become a communications manager at a private software company in Washington DC where I began training clients on how to use our software, continued my work as a creative and learned how to write technical documentation (which involved learning how to be very detail oriented and specific).
Though it pained me to leave, I was beckoned back north by rock stardom (I had a brief stint as a singer) and to become a project manager and interactive producer at one the worlds largest advertising agencies in Manhattan. Here I grew further to develop my skills in keeping many types of people satisfied and tailoring my approach to the many different types of working styles each member of our teams had (creatives certainly did not operate on the same frequency as an account executive, for example).
At last I arrived in Vermont where I married my husband, had two amazing children, and received my degree and certification in elementary education. It is where I stand now, looking brightly on a future filled with new experiences, learning opportunities, and a supportive community of mentors and friends, coworkers and family. I am so glad you are here to share a piece of this journey with me. Thank you for visiting!
